Verona is a city in the northern Italian region of Veneto with a medieval old town built on both sides of the meandering Adige River.

It is known as the scene of Shakespeare's "Romeo and Juliet". A 14th century town house with a tiny balcony facing the courtyard is known as the "House of Juliet".

The Arena of Verona is a huge Roman amphitheatre from the 1st century, where concerts and high-class opera performances take place.
